The boring (but important) stuff

If you change your mind

Terms & Conditions

By booking a hedge trimming or related service with The Hedgeman,
you agree to the following terms:

Quotations are provided in advance and remain valid for 14 days.

Access to the property’s exterior (e.g., front garden or side path) is assumed as agreed. You don’t need to be home, but we must be able to safely reach the hedge.

Consent: By submitting a booking, you confirm that you have the authority to request hedge trimming at the specified address, and that submission of the booking constitutes permission for The Hedgeman to carry out the work.

Payment is due upon completion of work and receipt of invoice — please pay within 14 days unless otherwise agreed.

Safety: We reserve the right to postpone or adapt the job in case of unforeseen risks (e.g. active bird nests, weather conditions, or hazards).

Waste: Green waste is disposed of via your garden bin where possible. Excess waste removal may incur an additional fee, noted in your quote.

Liability: We are fully insured, but cannot accept responsibility for damage to hidden or unmarked structures near hedges.

Photographs: Photos of work may be taken for record-keeping or promotional purposes unless you request otherwise.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

We understand things change…

You can cancel or reschedule at no charge — we just ask that you give us as much notice as possible (ideally 24 hours or more).

If we're already on our way when you cancel, we may charge a small call-out fee to cover our time and travel — but we'll always be fair.

Bad weather, safety concerns (like rain or active bird nests), or access issues* may require us to postpone your trim — we’ll always let you know and rebook as soon as possible. And we’ll never charge for work that hasn’t happened due to circumstances beyond anyone’s reasonable control.

*It’s always best to ask neighbours permission for us to access their garden to reach your hedge - if it faces their property but the hedge isn’t owned by them.

Thanks!
